Classes

Classes are conducted in small groups so that you get the attention and care needed. Because we value productivity, all practice questions and worksheets will be done and marked in class, therefore any questions you may have on the topics will be answered before the end of each lesson. Each session is 4 hours long (shorter than a school day!). Regular breaks will be given throughout.

This workshop is only conducted twice a year in December and June. Enquire now to reserve your place.

Mock Papers

A mock exam will be conducted at the end of each workshop to ensure that you have achieved the required standards. In the mere span of 5 days, you will be readily equipped to ace the ABRSM theory exams.

Placement Assessment

Prior to signing up for the Accelerated Theory Workshop, all students would be required to complete a placement worksheet at no additional cost. This is to best sort the student into the most appropriate workshop in accordance to their current capability.

Jon Lin taught me composition at the Eastman Community School of Music in Rochester NY. Jon Lin could also look at a score and immediately comprehend what it would sound like. To say that she was helpful would be an understatement. She helped to revive my musical composition enthusiasm. I am very grateful for all the work that she did for me and her always kind patience. She was a marvelous teacher, passionate about her work and very knowledgable about most aspects of music.

Richard Wilder
Student
Eastman Community Music School

Jon Lin taught aural skills and composition in the theory and composition department. I was immediately struck by her ability to relate to our high school students. She is a born teacher and immediately took command of the class. I learned many new concepts and approaches to teaching aural skills, which I now use in my own teaching. She used many creative and innovative ways that helped the students improve their skills in singing, rhythmic performance and dictation.
